My Style – Aug to Oct 2010

NWAICA held the “My Style” program for Breakout participants for the first time from August to October 2010. It was to teach young people about social etiquette; dining out; fashion style and protective behaviours.

A number of young people participated and were able to learn about health, wellbeing, relationships, bush tucker and social etiquette. As a part of the program, young women had a ‘pamper day’ where they were given haircuts and shown make up, fashion and style tips, and personal grooming advice. Young men learned about bush medicine and Aboriginal beauty products and received some personal grooming tips.

The end of the program was celebrated with a graduating dinner at the Sofitel, and everyone who graduated got to keep an entire new, outfit! NWAICA ran this program in partnership with the Office for Women, Dressed for Success, Red Cross, Qld Health and the Sofitel.

I do trust all the ideas you’ve presented to your post. They’re really convincing and will definitely work. Nonetheless, the posts are too quick for newbies. May you please prolong them a bit from subsequent time? Thanks for the post.
