ACPA: Aboriginal Centre of Performing Arts

ACPA is a registered training organisation dedicated to the development of Indigenous performing artists. Here you will develop the skills, expertise and practical experience necessary to succeed in the Australian performing arts industry.

Certificate II in Performing Arts

ACPA has developed a unique, pre-enrolment training pathway for the delivery of a nationally recognised performing arts Qualification (Certificate II in Performing Arts), through Vocational Education and Training (VET) in schools, or by community arts training organisations that are, or work in partnership with, VET Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).

The Certificate II in Performing Arts is designed to be delivered in urban, regional and rural areas to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander high school students as a preparatory program for applying for enrolment at ACPA.

The Certificate II is currently being delivered by two Far North Queensland secondary schools and is available for licence to any ACPA approved school or community arts RTO.

Expressions of interest in delivering the Certificate II in Performing Arts should be directed to the ACPA Artistic and Training Director.
